“Brrrring!” rang the bell. I was off to robotics! When we got to the library all of the boxes were laid out for us. We were making robots out of pipes and motors. I was in a group of seven and it was a girl group. We had to go to the robotics meeting every other week. The 3rd robotics meeting we went to the pool to test out robot. Ours didn't work because it floated and didn’t dive. It was supposed to go underwater and not sink and not float. So the next meeting we had to fix it. We noticed what our problem was, we didn't drill enough holes on both sides. So we drilled three or four holes on each side of the robot. The next time we went to the pool we tried it again and it worked. We were so happy! Then we raced our robot with the other ones. We didn't win but we at least came in 2nd place. We had an AWESOME time!!! I want to do robotics in 5th grade because it was an amazing experience and I love robots so I am definitely doing it next year. I love robotics.
“Go Ace!” yelled my team. I was at one of my volleyball games and my dad, mom, and sister were all there. I had a green shirt with the #5 on the back. Five is my lucky number. So far throughout the game we were doing great, but when I was serving I didn't think I would do a good serve, but I did a great serve. I was so happy because I am not the best at serving so that made me really happy. That was one of my favorite games, and I was so proud of myself. By the end of the game it was not tied but we still did our best. The other team won but we played a great game.
Have you ever baked cookies once in your lifetime and came across a problem? Well me and my friend have. Once me and my friend, Blakely, were making cookies and we were doing it all by ourselves. We were having so much fun! But when we tasted the batter and it didn't taste right, but when we mixed and mixed the batter it still didn't taste right. When we looked around the kitchen we saw that we didn't put the dry ingredients (flour and sugar) in the wet ingredients (eggs and olive oil). So we tasted it again and it tasted PERFECT! When we put the cookies in the oven and looked at them at 35 minutes it didn't seem right. So we let the cookies cook for the rest of the time (45 minutes) and they looked great! The only thing was that we didn't have a lot of chocolate chips so our cookies were kind of small but we were fine with that. So we let them cool and once they cooled they were delicious! We wanted to make cookies every day and every week by ourselves. We were so happy with what our cookies looked like and smelled like. We wanted to do that every day and never stop. Well, sometimes stop.
